Founded in 1996, Columbia Communities is composed of a unique group of individuals including James Weinberg, Chairman and CEO and Jan Zakowski, COO, both second-generation homebuilders, and John Lutich, a native of Arizona and third-generation homebuilder. They are supported by a coalition of nationally recognized community developers who have built over 40,000 homes in award-winning communities across the country. This group includes world-renowned architect Barry A. Berkus, A.I.A. and Michael L. Tenzer, developer of award-winning Adult communities nationwide.

This distinguished team of real estate experts created and developed the award winning Positano at Scottsdale Country Club, Columbia Communities at DC Ranch, Los Vientos at Grayhawk and Las Piedras at Sevano Village.
